Materials Planning Lead

Save job

A leading manufacturing business based in South Herefordshire with hybrid working options are looking for a Materials Planning Lead to join their team for a 4-6 month contract. As Materials Planning Lead you will be responsible for managing inbound supply of materials from the supply base, ensuring production receive an uninterrupted supply of materials whilst maintaining optimum inventory levels.

This business is currently going through a system implementation to SAP and you will be a key player in driving planning processes throughout this period.

About the role:

  • Engage with a diverse supply base, manage inbound supply of materials to support production schedules
  • Generate and distribute weekly/monthly forecast reports internally and externally.
  • Run the internal S&OP cycle for materials planning.
  • Monitor supplier performance vs service level agreements. .
  • Ensure inventory is kept within agreed parameters.
  • Help drive new planning processes within SAP.

About the person:

  • Available for an imminent start.
  • Previous experience of being part of an SAP implementation process would be highly advantageous.
  • Previous experience working within a planning role, ideally from within materials, production or supply.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills.
