What you'll do:
As a First Line Manager in Warehousing, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the smooth running of our client's operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve planning and managing staffing levels according to operational needs, directing daily activities to maintain a positive work environment, and delivering performance reviews for team members. You will also be tasked with facilitating effective communication across all levels of the organisation, driving engagement among staff members. Ensuring compliance with SOPs will be crucial to maintaining high standards of operation. Your leadership will directly impact productivity levels and overall operational efficiency.
- Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirements.
- Direct daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for team members.
- Deliver team member performance reviews, development, and succession planning as appropriate.
- Facilitate effective communication and drive engagement.
- Manage disciplinary and grievance issues in line with HR policy.
- Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
- Organise and lead the focus on improved productivity levels.
- Monitor all physical aspects of the warehouse operation during the shift and take corrective action.

- Excellent organisational skills.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience of team management.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in supervising the physical and operational activity within a FMCG multi-shift warehousing and distribution operation is desirable.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills.
- Excellent communicator - verbal and written.
- Focuses on the needs of customers, drives the team to meet service levels.
