Shift Manager - Manufacturing

A leading food manufacturing business based in the Chester area are looking for a Manufacturing Shift Manager to join their team. As Manufacturing Shift Manager you will manage all production-related activities during their shift, ensuring efficiency and quality in operations.

About the role:

  • Manage and lead the production team during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure production targets are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor and control production processes to maintain quality standards.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety regulations on the production floor.
  • Coordinate with other shift managers for smooth shift transitions.
  • Resolve any production-related issues or disputes that may arise.
  • Participate in training and development activities for the production team.
  • Report on shift performance to the higher management.

About the person:

  • Previous experience working as a Manufacturing Shift Manager in an food, FMCG, packaging or other fast paced industry
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to train and develop your team.
