Supply Chain Manager

A leading FMCG business based in the Warrington area are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join their team for a 1 year contract. As Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for managing a team overseeing planning, customer service and logistics teams, supporting both in house planning and working with co-packers to drive OTIF to customers and ensure inventory is kept at optimum levels.

About the role:

• Engage with in-house and external planning teams, ensure the production plan supports demand
• Manage suppliers and ensure production receive an uninterrupted supply of materials
• Develop the S&OP Process and embed a cross functional S&OP monthly cycle to drive business decisions, manage risk and mitigate supply-demand imbalances and drive service levels
• Manage relationships with 3PLs, monitor performance against service levels

About the person:

• Must be available for an imminent start
• FMCG/ food background would be preferred
• SAP experience would be desirable
• Previous experience leading a planning or supply chain function
• Experience managing change in a positive way, experience in bringing in new systems would be desirable

• Develop Sales and Operations Planning processes for our Out of Home Route to Market and embed a cross functional S&OP monthly cycle to drive business decisions, manage risks, mitigate supply-demand imbalances, and drive Customer Service.
• Manage the delivery of the plan with our in-house manufacturing team and suppliers in line with agreed processes and KPIs.
• Manage governance through daily, Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly performance reviews.
• Ensure identification, monitoring and reporting of assumptions, risks and opportunities related to the short, medium to long-term business targets.
• Manage relationship with 3PLs ensuring delivery of the service in line with contracts and KPIs, whilst achieving budget, delivering cost improvements and negotiating optimised rates.
• Lead and develop the Out of Home Supply Chain Team ensuring we are driving our overall team performance
• Create, manage and track the Supply Chain Budget for the Out of Home Route to Market.
• Develop the end-to-end Supply Chain to deliver optimal value for our Customers.
• Leverage industry best practices and continuous improvement to continually enhance our Supply Chain processes
• Develop operational and KPI dashboards to provide transparency and single source of truth across functional areas to ensure alignment and optimal results
