A global manufacturing business based in the Warrington area are looking for a Planning Manager to join their team. As Planning Manager you will be responsible for managing a team that oversee the master production schedule, engaging closely with internal teams to manage the demand signals via the S&OP process looking at medium to long term planning horizons.

About the role:

• Manage the Master Production Schedule , ensure MRP requirements are cascaded through the companies MRP system for all identified bottleneck resources
• Capacity analysis to allow for appropriate resource across the operations teams
• Manage the MRO forecast and maintain safety stocks
• Manage the S&OP data, be a key part of S&OP meetings and identify any shortfall or demand spikes that effect the business plan and agree corrective actions that are addressed by S&OP attendees

About the person:

• Ideally degree qualified or overseas equivalent
• Previous experience working as a Master Production Scheduler or Planning Manager within ideally automotive, aerospace, pharmaceutical or heavy engineering industries
• SAP experience would be preferred
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
• Previous experience managing a team
