A leading manufacturing business in East Manchester area are looking for a Production Planner to join their team.
About the role:
Ensure efficient rolling plans supported by materials delivering against the service priorities
Work collaboratively with Operations, Supply Planning, Materials and Customer Services to guarantee plans are feasible and accomplished
Manage plan changes ensuring the correct communication in a timely manner
Generate 12-week plans that deliver 99% service and identify any risks
Create a rolling 6-8 weeks of works orders to support MRP and manage the daily MRP for key items
Maintain planning tools
Provide regular data for use during quarterly rate reviews
Provide support to new product development and projects as and when needed
About the person:
Experience working within a production planning role, ideally with materials scheduling experience too
Confident to work in a standalone planning role
Analytical mindset with a high level of numeracy
Flexible and methodical approach
Excellent attention to detail
Able to identify problems, find resolutions and drive continuous improvement
Proficient in Excel
Exposure to Sage (not mandatory)
Ideally have an understanding of fast paced service environments
Happy to be on site in East Manchester 5 days a week
