Junior Demand Planner

A London based client within the FMCG industry are looking for a Junior Demand Planner to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-2 years experience working in a similar role or an exceptional graduate looking to start their career in this field.

Role Responsibilities:

• Purchase Order Management
• Ensure the accuracy of all requisition details before submission
• Resolving errors and queries in PO’s
• Ensure all PO’s as issued to Suppliers
• Track orders to ensure deadlines are achieved and sourcing alternative products if required
• Inventory Management
• Resolution for related issues
• Manage supplier relationships resolving any disputes, escalating to the purchasing manager when required
• Working closeley with Marketing, Operations and Sales
• Keep an eye on shipping time frames by location and producer to decide whether these need to be increased, decreased or maintained according to external influences.
• Maintenance of pricing in terms of costs from the supplier and price to customers.

Skills & Experience:

• Previous SC/Demand planning experience in a similar logistics environment (advantageous)
• Previous Experience of an ERP systems (advantageous)
• Demonstrable previous experience in a similar logistics environment
• Proven analytical ability, with strong attention to detail
• The ability to adhere to strict daily routines and manage a varying workload
• Intermediate Microsoft excel knowledge
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to communicate with different parties; internally and externally
• Able to adhere to routine to ensure that key processes are working
• Persistence and able to follow up on issues
