A leading manufacturing organisation based in Lancashire are looking for a Planning Manager to join their team. As Planning Manager you will take full responsibility for the site planning function by developing production plans and managing raw material intake to ensure all orders are fulfilled whilst maintaining optimum factory efficiency. The business is a true leader within their field and are continuing to further develop and enter new markets.

About the role:

• Develop a master production schedule looking at the 12-18 month planning horizon to satisfy demand taking into account production constraints and product variation
• Develop local procedures to ensure availability to react to demand or schedule adherence variations
• Develop MRP integrity
• Develop supplier relationships to drive optimum inventory levels
• Be a key player in developing the S&OP process
• Develop a culture of CI across the planning function and be proactive in ways to drive efficiency

About the person:

• Ideally degree qualified or overseas equivalent
• Previous track record working ideally at a Senior Planner or Planning Manager level with experience managing teams would be ideal, but if someone with the right gravitas who has the right leadership capability to take a step up would also be considered
• Experience working within a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
