Category Lead - Resin

As the Procurement Category Lead for Resins, you will be responsible for defining and executing the global sourcing strategy for a high-impact raw materials category. You will partner with senior leaders across Supply Chain, R&D, and Operations to secure competitive, reliable, and sustainable resin supply essential to the organisation’s product portfolio. This is a global role and can be based near any of their UK or European sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the global category strategy for resins, aligned with overall business objectives and long-term growth plans.
• Manage a global supplier base, driving performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Lead complex negotiations to secure competitive costs, supply continuity, and long-term value creation.
• Monitor global resin markets, identifying risks, opportunities, and emerging innovations.
• Drive cost optimisation and risk mitigation through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and value engineering.

About You

You will thrive in this role if you bring:

• Significant experience in procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing within a global manufacturing or chemicals environment.
• Deep expertise in resins, such as acrylic, epoxy, polyurethane, hydrocarbon, or related chemistries.
• A strong understanding of global supply markets, cost drivers, and risk factors.
• Exceptional negotiation and supplier management skills.
• A collaborative, influential approach to working with cross-functional stakeholders.
• A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Chemistry, Engineering, Business, or related field (advanced degree desirable).
