What You'll Do:
As Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager, you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth operation of all purchasing and supply chain activities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing all aspects of supply chain operations at the site including purchasing, distribution, and production planning to ensure efficient processes are maintained.
- Ensuring timely and cost-effective fulfilment of customer orders by collaborating closely with other management team members and external stakeholders.
- Managing customs and export processes to guarantee compliance with relevant regulations and smooth international operations.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, efficiency gains, and enhanced service levels throughout the supply chain.
- Developing and implementing robust site purchasing and supply chain processes that align with best practices and organisational objectives.
Please note this role is fully on-site, with the option to work one day from home once settled in the position. A company vehicle is also included in the overall package.
What You Bring:
To excel as Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager, your background should reflect substantial experience within both purchasing and supply chain environments, ideally gained from roles where you have managed teams directly. Your background should include:
- A degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualification.
- Extensive experience in both purchasing and supply chain roles equips you with practical insights into end-to-end operations within these disciplines.
- Hands-on approach combined with comfort interacting at management level ensures you can operate seamlessly between strategic oversight and operational detail.
- Experience leading change management initiatives shows your ability to set up high-performing teams that are self-sufficient yet collaborative.
