Our client, Aspen Insurance, is seeking a Non-IT Procurement Category Lead to join their team in London. This role offers the opportunity to lead and develop strategic sourcing and commercial activities for a global category. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring third-party engagements deliver the appropriate service, value, and risk management to Aspen. This role requires an individual who is proactive, agile, and adept at leading initiatives across various procurement areas. What you'll do:
As a Non-IT Procurement Category Lead at Aspen Insurance, your primary responsibility will be to lead the strategy and vision for the global category. You will negotiate all category supply contracts and other critical agreements for the business. Your role will involve identifying, driving, and delivering savings to meet agreed category and functional objectives. You will also lead procurement areas of strategic change projects. In addition, you will develop appropriate governance frameworks to maintain adherence to Procurement/Group/regulatory governance. Establishing key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders for the category will be crucial in this role. Furthermore, you will work collaboratively with vendor management and service owners. Lastly, providing leadership, motivation, and support to junior team members will be part of your duties.

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Non-IT Procurement Category Lead position at Aspen Insurance brings strong interpersonal and communication skills. They have the ability to persuade, influence, and negotiate effectively both directly and indirectly. They possess an analytical mindset but also demonstrate creativity in seeking non-traditional approaches. Strong negotiation skills are a must, along with the ability to analyse and use data for decision making. The candidate should have high impact presentation skills and experience managing stakeholders at all levels. They should also possess wide demonstrable knowledge of client areas Procurement, Process Excellence, and Contracting.
