My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Manager to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work on unique, multi-faceted projects within the construction sector of the defence industry. With a focus on developing sourcing and contracting solutions for a 10-year investment programme, this position promises an exciting challenge for the right candidate.
What you'll do:
As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be working closely with both internal and external teams to develop effective sourcing strategies aligned with the Infrastructure Construction Strategy. You will lead the sourcing and contracting procurement process, ensuring the quality of documentation is of the highest standard. Your role will also involve managing commercial performance of contractors, maintaining relationships with strategic suppliers, and coordinating throughout the end-to-end procurement process.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Supply Chain Manager role will bring significant experience from the construction industry's supply chain. You should have detailed knowledge of JCT and NEC Construction contracts, along with experience in developing construction strategies. A strong understanding of business and procurement approaches, techniques, processes, policy, and strategy is essential. Experience in contract and supplier performance management as well as managing a team of supply chain professionals will be key to your success in this role.
