Procurement Manager - IT & Professional Services

Our client is a global leader in Telecommunications and are at the forefront of innovation, having invested billions in their latest network infrastructure. The role of Procurement Manager will predominately look after IT and Professional Services spend around £50m. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate across a diverse spend portfolio, developing stakeholder relationships and delivering category strategies that result in cost-effective procurement for the business.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver category and sub-category strategies within the framework of the overall Procurement Strategy
  • Maximise synergy opportunities for supply base integration
  • Conduct market analysis, run tender processes, use data analysis and conduct negotiations to ensure savings are delivered
  • Lead on category negotiations with suppliers to secure value for money and efficiencies for the business
  • Bring market innovations that drive value and protect against foreseeable risks
  • Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers that contribute to capacity and capability development
  • Collect and analyse spend and market data in support of procurement strategies
  • Manage significant and complex supplier contracts in line with policies and procedures

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong management and influencing skills
  • Category experience in IT
  • Evidence of developing category strategies either in a leading or supporting role
  • Good negotiation; risk assessment and stakeholder management skills
  • Understanding and management of end to end RFP processes, contract award and supplier management
  • Understanding of contract law and legal principles
