IT Procurement Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Procurement Manager to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to elevate the procurement capability, moving it from a tactical engagement model to a strong strategic function. The successful candidate will be responsible for all IT procurement activities across all divisions globally - ensuring appropriate levels of risk control, appreciation of business drivers, optimisation of costs, and strong negotiation of contractual terms.

What you'll do:

As an IT Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing the strategy of the relevant category while driving sourcing initiatives as required. You will be tasked with developing effective relationships with internal stakeholders that support the Procurement strategy. Your role will involve communicating with cross-functional teams to execute strategy and drive performance. You will conduct day-to-day sourcing activities including managing contract renewals, conducting commercial and contractual negotiations, processing purchase requisitions. A key part of your role will be to mitigate risks and work with internal stakeholders to ensure they understand and ultimately own the risks not mitigated.

What you bring:

  • Proven IT category management experience
  • Ability to use IT Procurement expertise to help elevate the category
  • Experience of formulating and delivering strategic Category Plans
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and maintain complex and multiple business stakeholder relationships
  • Commercial acumen and risk management mindset
  • Strong negotiation skills with ability to clearly articulate and communicate
