Responsibilities of the role:
- Commercial awareness - You will understand the marketplace and the consumer and be aware of competitor activity and its impact on the business.
- Analysis of key lines to ensure correct replenishment levels and that stock and sales are maintained.
- Control stock levels based on weekly sales and stock intakes (WSSI)
- Analysis of Supplier Performance in terms of delivery, sales and margin.
- Supplier meetings where appropriate in order to help manage relations and ensure stock availability
- Collaboratively work with the wider Merchandising, Operations & Logistics teams to ensure timely onboarding & arrival of stock with our various partners
- Liaising with the Buying team to establish the product range and stock plans.
- Analyse and monitor your categories best and worst sellers to ensure stock continuity and make informed recommendations for promotions/mark downs.
About you:
- Working experience in Merchandising within the Fashion & Apparel industry. (Essential)
- Retail/Manufacturing knowledge.
- Experience supplying into multiple retailers. (Ideal)
- The ability to work under pressure in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- The capability to work well as part of a team and to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of people.
- Excellent analytical, numerical and communication skills.
