Senior Buyer

A global energy company based near Chester are looking for a Senior Buyer to join their team. As Senior Buyer you will be expected to support the development of category plans and be able to influence the development of value delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and plan supplier relationship and contract management to ensure suppliers meet their contractual obligations.

• Work with Business Partners and senior leaders to identify and drive savings and performance improvement.

• Delivery of the annual Procurement Value Plan through delivery of projects included in the category plan and support to business partner nominated projects to meet site needs.

• Support the development of medium to long term category plans (lower costs, mitigated risk, supply surety).

• Senior Buyers will collaborate with project specific stakeholders to ensure change management is efficient and effective to guarantee sustainable value delivery.

About you:

• 2-4 Years Tactical Buying experience within Engineering, Chemicals, Utilities, Oil or Manufacturing industry.
• Experience in sourcing, negotiation, and management of spend categories.

• A proven track record of working with senior stakeholders.

• Ideally CIPS qualified.

• Salary is circa £51,164 - £58,870.
• Early finish on a Friday.
