A global FMCG manufacturer based in Merseyside are looking for a quality manager to drive quality systems and customer service improvement.
The role will be running the quality function for the site ensuring that the needs and expectations of the customer are met. This will include spending time on the customers site, working with their operations teams on understanding quality issues affecting downtime and building rapport with the customer so improvements can be made back at the manufacturing facility. From there you will drive a programme looking at defects in process, driving down failures per million. We will be expecting you to be able to demonstrate quality improvement projects you have delivered yourself. Working with the engineering and CI team you will collaborate to ensure the implementation of tools and techniques that will lead to continuous improvement and achieving customer SLA's
To be considered for the role as quality manager you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Effective communicator with customers as well as colleagues but must be customer facing.
- In a quality engineer/ quality management or QA Manager role
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards/ TS16949
- Strong troubleshooter
- Ability to support continuous improvement programmes
