Project Manager – Warehouse Start-Up Location: Derby (Midlands-based, field role) Salary: Competitive
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of a major warehouse start-up for a growing ecommerce and retail client. This field-based role covers the full project lifecycle—from design and build through to go-live and early-life support—working across multiple sites.
You’ll join a collaborative, supportive team with flexible working and real scope to make an impact on a high-profile logistics project.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycle: design, build, testing, go-live, and closure
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans and documentation
- Track milestones, risks, budgets, and dependencies
- Lead project meetings and stakeholder communications
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and workstreams
- Support reviews, reporting, and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience delivering complex, warehousing start and fit out projects
- Strong Microsoft Project and documentation skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
- Experience in warehousing in ecommerce or retail (preferred)
- Exposure to WMS implementations or continuous improvement (advantageous)
