What you'll do:
As a Transport Shift Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day operations of our client's transport team. Your typical day will involve managing a team of drivers across various shifts, overseeing the transport operation, and interacting regularly with the management team for our customer. You will also support the planning of the weekly workload, organising staff shifts to ensure all runs are covered in a cost-effective and efficient manner. Ensuring safety compliance is paramount in this role, as you will oversee that all processes and procedures are followed for safe and efficient operations.

- Conduct timely and accurate investigations into Safety incidents
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Transport Shift Manager role is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has previous experience in a similar position. Your ability to manage drivers and office staff effectively will be crucial to your success in this role. Additionally, your capacity to support and encourage good team working spirit will help you achieve business objectives. While not essential, experience working in Trade Union environments, knowledge of Transport Legislation / WTD / Drivers hours, and CPC in National road Haulage would be advantageous.
