I am recruiting an experienced Sustainability Manager a leading Distribution company based within Staffordshire. You will be responsible for forming the strategy for decarbonisation and sustainability and then turning that Strategy into action and driving sustainability practices into operational processes across all aspects of the contract.

Key Responsibilities for the Sustainability Manager

• Provide subject matter expertise on ESG and sustainability related topics to lead the strategy
• Work with a variety of stakeholders and suppliers to form and implement the operating frameworks to drive sustainable best practice into operating and procurement models
• Develop the necessary proposals and business cases to deliver the Sustainability Strategy
• Work with a variety of business stakeholders and direct with the customer to deliver the activities and actions required to meet the goals and targets set
• Present and provide the necessary reporting on how environmental targets are tracking and wider updates on progress against plan, risks, outputs and KPIs
• Manage overall disclosures and annual submissions in line with the strategy and ESG commitments
• Drive knowledge sharing in the sustainability and related topics

The Sustainability Manager will have the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience of working in sustainability related topics in a corporate environment, public sector desirable
• Expert knowledge of ESG and Sustainability
• Strong decision-making skills
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills
• Experience of project management reporting, metrics and approaches
• Passionate about Sustainability and excellent communication skills
• Educated to a degree level within a relevant field
