Warehouse Team Leader

The role: Due to prolonged success and growth within the business, an opportunity has opened up for a Warehouse Team Leaders joining the brand new site in Harlow. The Warehouse Team Leaders role would suit individuals who have experience of managing a team to deliver exceptional service. The large 3PL business holds its staff in extremely high regard, with significant opportunities for promotion, training, multi-skilling all in our brand new, dynamic warehouse in Harlow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively managing and motivating the team and the shift, engaging colleagues to ensure the best performance

• Manage the team to achieve targeted daily and weekly Key Performance Indicators

• Ensure department operates in line with all company and customer procedures and requirements relating to Health and Safety

• Ensure processes and procedures are adhered to throughout the operation, with exceptional focus on health and safety

• Encourage a culture of excellent customer service ‘right first time’ with the team

• Ensure sufficient resource is available in order to meet performance expectations

• Responsible for driving high levels of employee engagement

• Work closely with the Transport team to ensure that all plans are adhered to

• Ensure that any performance, conduct or capability issues are thoroughly investigated and any required resulting actions are completed in a timely manner

The Individual:

• An experienced manager or supervisor with customer service in mind as time and volume of work is high.

• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems

• Energetic, resilient, and flexible

• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office

• Excellent communication

• Works well under tight deadlines with a keen eye for detail and a right first-time approach

• Experience time management systems is advantageous

• Experience with warehouse KPI management

• Experienced being part of a start-up / set up.
