Procurement Manager
A leading global consumer goods organisation is seeking a Procurement Manager to join on a fixed-term contract. You will be at the heart of product innovation by managing procurement strategies that drive value, supply continuity, and sustainable growth across co-packing or third-party manufacturing. You will also enjoy flexible working, early finishes on a Friday, a competitive benefits package, and the opportunity to apply your experience into a truly global company.
What You'll Do:
As a Procurement Manager, you will be instrumental in bringing products from concept to shelf by overseeing critical sourcing activities that underpin successful launches. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies across selected brands within either co-packing or contract manufacturing depending on your background.
- Build and nurture supplier partnerships that unlock new ideas, enhance resilience in the supply chain, and underpin long-term organisational growth.
- Play a central role in new product development.
- Drive cost optimisation initiatives and margin improvement.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
- Monitor supplier performance rigorously while staying abreast of market trends to proactively manage risks and identify emerging opportunities.
What You Bring:
This business is open to someone progressing their career from a buyer or senior buyer role as there is no line management responsibility.
- Proven experience in procurement or sourcing roles within FMCG, across either co-packing or contract manufacturing.
- A strong commercial instinct combined with confidence in negotiation techniques and supplier management.
- The capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Excellent communication skills are necessary for influencing stakeholders at all levels and fostering effective collaboration across teams.
- Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is expected; experience with SAP or similar systems would be advantageous.
The Company:
This global FMCG business offers flexible working arrangements, supporting personal wellbeing alongside professional ambition. Diversity and inclusion are not just aspirations but lived values: everyone is welcomed regardless of background or experience, creating an environment where all can thrive together. Training opportunities abound for those eager to learn more or take on new challenges within a supportive network. Ultimately, this is an employer where purpose-driven work meets real opportunity for growth, making it an ideal place for those who want their career to have lasting impact beyond the bottom line.
