HR Manager
HR MANAGER Salary: up to £42,000 + good benefits Location: Leicester Job Type: Full time, permanent
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Administration
- Manage day‑to‑day HR operations, ensuring smooth delivery of HR services across the business
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee records
- Oversee payroll inputs, absence management, and HR reporting
- Ensure legal compliance with employment law and company standards
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, including job briefs, advertising, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
- Partner with hiring managers to understand talent needs and workforce planning
- Support development of employer branding and recruitment strategies in competitive markets
Employee Relations
- Act as first point of contact for employee HR queries, providing guidance on HR policies and best practices
- Handle disciplinary, grievance, and performance management cases
- Foster a positive employee experience that encourages engagement and retention
- Coach managers on people management and employee relations issues
People Development & Culture
- Support implementation of training, development, and performance programs
- Contribute to HR initiatives that strengthen culture, wellbeing, and communication
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in HR processes and employee engagement initiatives
Skills & Experience Required
- 4–5 years’ experience in a generalist HR role covering operations, recruitment, and ER
- Experience in manufacturing or retail is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of HR processes and UK employment legislation
- Confident handling ER cases with professionalism and accuracy
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) is an advantage
