A fantastic opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join an established aerospace parts supplier in Derbyshire, supporting the delivery of multiple projects to some of the biggest names in the industry.

As a result of impressive performance and a rapidly growing order book, a well-known supplier of precision aerospace parts and assemblies are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Derbyshire, based on-site at their facility near Castle Donington. The role is offering a starting salary of between £45,000 and £50,000 p/a, with addtional benefits and training & development opportunities on offer.

Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, you will join an existing team of manufacturing engineers, programmers and operators to ensure efficient and effective delivery of multiple engineering parts and assemblies to various key customers. Working closely with the quality and production departments, you'll be responsible for identifying and implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement methodologies across the facility. to achieve a shared goal of 'right first time' delivery.

To be considered for this position, you'll need to demonstrate a background in manufacturing or production engineering, ideally within the UK aerospace sector. However, the hiring manager is also keen to see a Manufacturing Engineer from other industries that could hold transferable skills, such as automotive, defence, nuclear or marine. Your CV should show examples of utilising and implementing RCCA and CI / Lean Manufacturing principles, such as 8D, 5Why and Ishikawa.

A huge bonus would be any working knowledge of MSA and SPC, as would CAD software exposure for reading and editing relevant data. You'll also need to be computer literate as your responsibilities will also include contributing to routing and BOM creation, Inspection Report management and MRB panels.
