The purpose is to support the development of the Real Estate function in this recently created focus area with key responsibilities for the Group’s sizable, leased property portfolio. Developing new ways of working and processes the Real Estate team. Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Category Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and liaising with business and regional procurement activities related to lease renewals for our sites. The ideal candidate will excel in negotiations, possess a strategic mindset, and be adept at facilitating timely business reviews and engagements.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and liaising with business and regional procurement activities related to lease renewals for our sites. The ideal candidate will excel in negotiations, possess a strategic mindset, and be adept at facilitating timely business reviews and engagements.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Manage / liaise with business and regional procurement renewal strategy for leased sites.
• Negotiations of lease renewals / new sites / disposals, facilitated through timely business reviews & engagement with landlords to ensure optimum outcome, opportunities presented to business.
• Identify full property portfolio for group and Subsidiaries. Size, ownership value, lease terms
• System identification and implementation for management and to support IFRS16 reporting on leased properties / property assets.
• Support Business lines with the collection and collation of information, identifying data set required.
• Present market data for the basis of MTP / Budget planning on costs for significant sites
• Sustainability, through LL engagement for Energy reduction or creation opportunities.

You and your Skills:

Minimum 3 years buying experience is essential. Preferably in property management
• Degree qualified, MCIPS or equivalent qualification is desirable
• Ability to speak a foreign language is desirable
• Knowledge of systems – MS Office suite, system implementation experience is also desirable
