Robert Walters is partnering with a leading organisation in the water sector seeking an experienced Delivery Engineer to support the delivery of key network optimisation and leakage‑reduction initiatives. The Role
The Delivery Engineer will take responsibility for driving multiple network intervention schemes from design approval through construction, commissioning, and close-out. You will work closely with designers, contractors, and operational teams to ensure all schemes are delivered safely, on time, and with clearly evidenced improvements to network performance.
The focus is on execution: maintaining momentum, resolving on-site issues, managing risks, and ensuring each intervention delivers measurable reductions in water usage and leakage.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of network improvement and calming schemes
• Coordinate with design, construction, and operational teams to enable efficient delivery
• Manage delivery plans, programme milestones, risks, and site activities
• Monitor scheme performance and ensure all outputs deliver measurable benefits
• Drive progress across multiple parallel schemes in a fast-paced environment
• Support commissioning, testing, and handover processes
• Maintain accurate reporting and contribute to continuous improvement
Person Profile
• Experience in water networks, leakage management, distribution systems, or utility engineering
• Understanding of network hydraulics, pressure management, and leakage reduction
• Ability to assess technical feasibility and translate plans into deliverable solutions
• Comfortable working with operational data and performance metrics
• Knowledge of project lifecycle stages and practical delivery methods
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
