Overview
Robert Walters is partnering with a leading organisation in the water and natural resources sector to recruit a Network Modelling Engineer. This role is ideal for technically minded professionals who enjoy analytical problem‑solving and contributing to the optimisation of water and wastewater networks across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver hydraulic modelling and analysis for water and wastewater treatment, distribution, and network systems.
- Build, calibrate, and maintain hydraulic models using industry‑standard software.
- Work closely with engineering and technical teams to integrate modelling insights into wider project solutions.
- Assess system performance, diagnose network issues, and support operational decision‑making.
- Contribute to the development of new modelling methodologies and digital tools.
- Attend project meetings, communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders, and support key project milestones.
- Produce clear, high‑quality documentation aligned with project and industry standards.
- Assist with data preparation, validation, and interpretation.

Skills & Experience
- Experience within a UK water company, consultancy, or regulated utilities setting.
- Strong technical knowledge of water and wastewater network operations or modelling.
- Practical experience with hydraulic modelling tools (e.g., InfoWorks ICM / WS Pro, EPANET, or similar).
- Understanding of network hydraulics, operational performance factors, and system optimisation.
- Strong data analysis, technical reporting, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education & Qualifications
