Location: Multi-site (UK)
Salary: £40,500 – £46,000 + discretionary range for exceptional candidates
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Robert Walters is partnering with a leading UK education and research organisation to recruit a Mechanical Services Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a high-performing team delivering safe, compliant and efficient mechanical services across a large and diverse estate.

About the Role

As Mechanical Services Manager, you will:

• Oversee reactive and planned mechanical maintenance across multiple sites.
• Lead and develop a team of technicians, apprentices and contractors.
• Ensure legal compliance and high standards of health & safety.
• Manage workloads via CAFM systems and drive continuous improvement.
• Act as the key point of contact for internal stakeholders and contractors.

What We’re Looking For

• HND/HNC in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or Hard FM (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience managing mobile mechanical maintenance teams.
• Strong contractor management and health & safety leadership.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Desirable: Degree-level qualification, experience in large complex estates, knowledge of SFG20 and FM platforms.
