Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 p/a + bonus, car allowance and benefits

Location: Oldham

A globally recognised brand in FMCG manufacturing is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to take on a multi-site role overseeing and delivering strategic projects, to be based predominantly out of their site near Oldham. This role offers an attractive salary of up to £100,000 p/a, plus an annual bonus of up to 27%, car allowance / fleet car and other benefits. The successful candidate will be responsible for scoping, leading, driving and coordinating all Key Projects & Change Initiatives, with a focus on Process Standardization and CAPEX Optimisation. As the position will require your focus across 6 European sites as well the UK, there will be an element of international travel (circa 3-5 days p/m) and the option for hybrid and flexible working when not overseas.

What you'll do:

As Operations Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in driving the future success of our client's most profitable divisions. You will be responsible for leading key projects and change initiatives, ensuring alignment across all relevant functional areas. Your ability to apply best practice Project Management techniques will be essential in delivering change effectively and efficiently. You will also be tasked with tracking and consolidating reporting for large projects in the division, including key CAPEX projects. Furthermore, you will develop communication strategies to keep all business stakeholders informed and engaged.

  • Lead or align change projects in operations and ensure alignment across all relevant functional areas
  • Run Group impacting operational projects to ensure standardised operational approaches
  • Apply best practice Project Management techniques to deliver change effectively and efficiently
  • Track and consolidate reporting for large projects in the division (incl. key CAPEX projects)
  • Ensure clarity on project scope, costs, timing, quality & deliverables
  • Develop communications strategies to ensure that all business stakeholders are informed and engaged where appropriate

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Operations Manager role is an experienced professional with a proven track record in large project delivery including CAPEX and process change management. You should have demonstrated knowledge in change management and project management principles. A clear understanding of Business P&L, Working Capital and balance sheets is essential, while knowledge of CI Methodologies and Management Systems would be advantageous. Experience operating in a multi-site or multi-regional environment is required, while proficiency in other languages would be a strong asset.

  • Proven experience as an Operations professional with track record large project delivery incl. CAPEX and process change management
  • Demonstrated knowledge in change management and project management principles
  • Clear understanding of business P&L/ Working Capital/ Balance sheet
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Methodologies and Management Systems is advantageous
  • Experience operating in a multi-site or multi-regional environment
  • Fluency in English; other languages are a strong asset
