An Awards Ceremony to Remember

Halle Youth Orchestra

The Hallé was founded in Manchester in 1858, and today presents around 70 concerts a year at The Bridgewater Hall, as well as 50 more nationally and internationally.

We will be joined on the evening by members of the Hallé Youth Orchestra, which was established in 2002 and features some of the best young musicians in the region. In recent years the Hallé Youth Orchestra has performed at the Royal Opera House in London and as part of the Manchester International Festival in Victoria Wood's comedy musical That Day We Sang. The Hallé Youth Orchestra also perform several times a year in The Bridgewater Hall including a 'side-by-side' event with the Hallé.

Emma Jesson - Compere

Emma Jesson is a familiar and popular face of ITV Weather.

Frequently recognised for her chirpy “Bye Bye” sign-off, she originally trained to be a vet, but side-stepped into TV in her year off.

She mainly presents for ITV North of England and the Midlands, as well as opting into Good Morning Britain - and has carved out a strong corporate niche for herself, facilitating events for the Law Society, NHS, Chamber of Commerce – and even the International Sausage Awards!

Emma is excited and honoured to be invited to host the 2016 Manchester PA of the Year Awards and is looking forward to celebrating the sparkle of PAs, EAs and other professionals across Greater Manchester.

It’s going to be a glamorous and entertaining evening, and she is thrilled to play a part in recognising those unsung heroes in a professional support role. She sends her warmest congratulations to all the category finalists.
