Contract Financial Crime Lawyer

Our client, a leading adviser to the financial services industry, is seeking a Contract Financial Crime Lawyer with over 2 years PQE and a specific background in Financial Crime.

This role offers the opportunity to work directly for one of their key clients, supported by their Financial Services Regulatory team. The successful candidate will have technical knowledge and experience in advising on sanctions. This remote role is based in London and may require some office attendance.

What you'll do:

* Advising on financial crime issues related to new products and services
* Providing guidance on the application of various sanctions regimes imposed by the UK government
* Drafting financial crime policies and procedures
* Creating training materials and providing training on financial crime issues
* Assisting the client in assessing financial crime issues and remediation strategies when things don't go as planned

What you bring:

* Qualified solicitor with 2+ years PQE
* Experience in advising on sanctions
* High quality communication skills with confidence to engage at all levels
* Ability to provide strategic advice with little or no supervision
* Experience in working in financial crime
* Ability to manage a busy and varied workload
* Enthusiastic & team approach to working
