Senior Associate - Residential Development

Our client is recognised as one of the leading residential development and urban regeneration legal teams in the country and is seeking a Senior Associate to join one of their offices in the North. This is an exceptional opportunity to work alongside experienced residential development Partners and have the chance to act for a range of national and regional housebuilder clients, and property developers. You can be based out of their Manchester, Leeds or Newcastle-upon-Tyne office.

They work with some of the biggest PLC’s in housing and advise over the complete life cycle of new build housing from initial heads of terms, acquiring the land, obtaining planning permission, building out the scheme and the sale of the new homes. What You'll Do:

As a Senior Associate, you will play a crucial role in the team from day one. Your commitment to providing excellent service to their clients will be paramount. You will be responsible for:

• Drafting and negotiating immediate land acquisition deals, strategic option agreements and promotion agreements
• Acting for property developers on brownfield regeneration schemes
• Acting for housebuilder clients on large scale disposals of affordable housing
• Supervising Solicitors and a Trainee Solicitor
• Organising and attending a range of client training and business development events

What You Bring:

The ideal person for the Senior Associate position will meet the following criteria

• 5+ PQE
• Experience in residential development or commercial real estate
• Ability to build and grow a network of clients within professional services
• Strong teamwork ethic and ability to work effectively under pressure
• Commercial awareness
