Real Estate Paralegal (Leasing) - £35k, 12 month FTC

Well-established real estate business looking to add a Paralegal to their team on a 12 month contract basis. The offices are based in South London (zone 2) – for the first couple of months you will be required in the office every day, but it will be more flexible after that.

About the Role

The Legal division handles the lease contract stage of all the commercial office lettings within the business once terms have been negotiated and agreed by the sales team.

The team also assists the Renewals and Rating team with legal notices and leases for the business. High volumes of lease transactions are completed in a fast-paced process.

On a daily basis you will be responsible for producing offer letters, heads of terms, lease contracts and completion statements, as well as compiling information for pre-contract enquiries.

The postholder will be involved in negotiating with prospective customers (tenants) on lease clauses, and answering queries in relation to the property, deal terms and lease contract.

There will also be the requirement to assist with Landlord & Tenant documentation (e.g., assignments, sublettings, rent review memorandum, wayleave agreements, deeds of surrender and notices to quit).

About You

This remit requires a Paralegal with at least six months experience on leasing and landlord & tenant work.

You must be proficient with Microsoft Office and property management software, and comfortable engaging with a range of internal stakeholders and external customers. Demonstrable experience of dealing with a fast-paced caseload is also important.

The role is due to start on January 6^th 2025, so candidates on more than one month’s notice in their current role, unfortunately cannot be considered on this occasion.
