About the role
This firm’s award winning Construction team act for major public and private sector clients across a range of sectors including transport & infrastructure, education, health, engineering and hotel and leisure.
Workflows will include acting on a range of Construction & Engineering matters. Including:
•ADR including mediation, adjudication and the resolution of claims under the pre-action protocol
•Acting in proceedings in the TCC
•Domestic projects with the opportunity to become involved in international work
•Professional Negligence claims; and
•General advisory work in the Construction & Engineering arena.
Workflows will include acting on matters from cradle to grave including:
•Advising developers, employers, subcontractors, housing associations and consultants on contract formation, construction and procurement strategies and development
•Drafting and negotiating JCT/NEC3 contracts;
•Providing procurement advice;
•Advising on asset management and maintenance contracts
•Providing corporate support to other teams including Real Estate, Corporate and Banking and acquisitions and disposals
The team have an outstanding reputation, recognised in Chambers UK 2017 and the Legal 500, therefore presenting the opportunity for a Construction Litigation Solicitor to be exposed leading individuals in this field. Further, the team are very sociable and encourage juniors to get involved in networking and business development activities.
About the person
The Construction Solicitor will be a UK qualified solicitor with ideally a minimum of 6 months up to 3 years PQE in construction matters gained at a well-respected City or National firm.
Junior candidates with commercial contracts or Real Estate experience will also be strongly considered.
