Key Responsibilities: Provision of legal advice on property issues and other matters as required with emphasis on land compensation entitlements/disposal of land and obligations under the Public Works Act 1981 (PWA). Drafting of agreements, easement documentation and reports relating to the acquisition and disposal of land for public works by the Crown and TLA’s. Drafting of notices and reports required for the compulsory acquisition of land under the PWA. Overview and supervision of TPG staff carrying out Conveyancing Services for the Company’s Crown and TLA clients in accordance with their statutory powers and responsibilities. Provision of advice on land status and establishing requirements relating to the disposal of land held by the Crown and TLA’s for public works. Providing advice and Certificates as to ‘Sensitive and Special Land’ for the purpose of the Overseas Investment Act 2005. Ensuring that all activities are in accordance with the company’s legal responsibilities as well as being consistent with its policies and procedures. Ensuring that all relevant matters are brought promptly to the attention of the Group General Counsel. Helping develop and promote a culture throughout the company which reflects its mission, vision and values with an emphasis on client service. Working in a cooperative manner with colleagues to achieve overall company objectives with a high level of client satisfaction. The provision of advice on Resource Management Act 1991 and Building Act 2004 issues. The provision of other miscellaneous legal advice and actions as and when required by TPG.
Hold, or anticipate to soon hold, a current solicitors practising certificate.
Be able to manage resources to maximise profitability and TPG’s client services.
