An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Development Solicitor to join a vibrant and highly regarded Birmingham team within a well-known national law firm.
About the role:
This directories rated national law firm are looking for an experienced Residential Development Solicitor to join their growing Social Housing team to assist with their busy workload. The team is a diverse one and comprises not only lawyers but town planners, surveyors, property managers and financial advisors meaning a wealth of experience is at hand.
About the role
Your role will include, but is not limited to, the following worklows:
- Acquiring land and plots of land for a diverse range of clients including Registered Providers, Charities and public sector organisations
- Drafting and negotiating land and build contracts, golden brick and section 106 agreements
- Running your own caseload of sizeable complex deals
About the person:
The Residential Development Solicitor must be a UK qualified solicitor with, as a guide, a minimum of 3 years experience in residential development matters, ideally for Social Housing clients, working from inception of the deal to completion. Experience of acquiring multiple sites for Developers, Registered Providers or Charities is a pre-requisite for this role and the ability to work autonomously is key.
In order to be successful you will need to have a desire to exceed client expectations, a high degree of initiative and the ability to cope in a demanding environment. Other core competencies include excellent organisational skills, a desire to support the growth of the team and excellent communication skills.
