What you'll do:

  • Lead the investigation and litigation of complex serious injury cases involving brain, spinal cord, or other significant injuries for both adults and children.
  • Maximise client damages and optimise cost recovery while consistently delivering an exceptional client experience throughout every stage of the legal process.
  • Develop strong external relationships with professionals across the sector to enhance the team’s profile and contribute meaningfully to securing new business opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment while also operating independently when required to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
  • Provide expert advice on fatal accident work, demonstrating sensitivity and empathy towards clients facing challenging circumstances.
  • Ensure all rehabilitation needs are met by working closely with clients and their families to deliver bespoke legal solutions tailored to individual situations.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge in multi-track serious injury litigation to offer informed guidance on complex matters.
  • Contribute positively to the team’s responsible business programmes by engaging in community investment activities and supporting inclusion network groups.
  • Uphold high standards of honesty and integrity throughout all aspects of case management in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing training opportunities to further develop your expertise in serious injury law.

What you bring:

  • At least two years of proven experience handling serious injury litigation cases within a reputable legal setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to build successful relationships with a wide range of professionals across different sectors for business development purposes.
  • Capability to operate both independently and collaboratively within a supportive team structure to deliver optimal results for clients.
  • Exceptional client care skills underpinned by integrity, empathy, intuition, and strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge in multi-track serious injury litigation processes relevant to adults and children alike.
  • Experience advising on fatal accident work with sensitivity towards affected families.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development through participation in training opportunities related to personal injury law.
