I am assisting a reputable Birmingham based law firm in their search for a costs lawyer to join their personal injury and clinical negligence team. This firm have a national reach and this costs lawyer position will be based in in the Birmingham City Centre office. This costs lawyer will be needed on a part time basis, for a fixed term period of 18 months. This could be extended for the right person.

Joining the personal injury and clinical negligence team, this costs lawyer will be responsible for:-
• Preparing bills, estimates and statements of costs for summary assessment and preparing costs budgets in accordance with Court directions and timetables.
• Completing Legal Aid Agency forms and documents, as well as lodging and submitting bills and claims for assessment.
• Providing advice and support to the wider team in relation to costs and funding.
• Replies to Points of dispute and entering into cost negotiations.

This costs lawyers will have:-
• Atleast 1 years’ experience in a legal costs role.
• Knowledge of the Legal Aid Agency Costs Regulations.
• A working knowledge of costs law and practice.
• Preferable knowledge of CostsMaster software.
