I am looking for a temporary Data Protection Solicitor to join an in-house legal team based in the West Midlands. This assignment is offered on a 3-month assignment, with the possibility of further extension.
As the legal team is working towards compliance with the GDPR, the Data Protection Solicitor will provide advice to stakeholders on the compliance requirements, scope and interpretation of the legislation. You will also assist with information policies, standards and procedures, records management, FOIA and Data Management Framework.
The Data Protection Solicitor’s main duties will include, but are not limited to;
- Delivering training and providing advice on GDPR to stakeholders
- Reviewing policies, processes and contracts. Redrafting if necessary to ensure GDPR compliance
- Drafting, reviewing and amending contracts, privacy notices and consents
Ideally, the Data Protection Solicitor will ideally have considerable knowledge of the Data Protection Act and the Freedom of Information Act, RIPA and other related legislation. Records management experience, as well as prior knowledge of working within a legal compliance environment would be advantageous.
The client is offering a competitive rate of £200-£300 per day. They may also consider flexible working for the right candidate.
