Locum Planning and Highways Solicitor

A highly respected law firm is seeking a Locum Planning and Highways Solicitor to join their nationally recognised Planning and Highways team in Birmingham.

Job Title: Locum Planning and Highways Solicitor
Contract: 3 to 6-month contract
Location: Birmingham
Hourly Rate: £50 - £65 per hour via umb or LTD
Working Pattern: Hybrid

• Provide comprehensive legal advice on planning matters.
• Draft and negotiate complex section 106 agreements.
• Attend planning committees to offer legal support and guidance on intricate planning queries.
• Progress compulsory purchase orders.
• Deliver training sessions to clients on key planning topics and attend networking events to develop business relationships.
• Supervise junior lawyers within the team.

• Demonstrable experience advising on complex planning matters with at least 2 years post-qualification experience.
• Proven track record of drafting and negotiating section 106 agreements.
• Expertise in progressing compulsory purchase orders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with property lawyers on regeneration projects involving town centre redevelopment.
• Interest in contributing towards diversifying the client base through proactive relationship management.
