Our client is seeking a dedicated Team Manager to join their Large Loss Casualty team. This is a non-billing role which offers the opportunity to manage a diverse team across multiple locations, with the flexibility to be based in Liverpool, Manchester or Leeds. The successful candidate will have the chance to make a significant impact on the team's performance and wellbeing, while also having the potential to handle a small case load if they have previous large loss experience.

What You'll Do:

As a Team Manager, your primary focus will be managing the team's performance and ensuring excellent results for clients. Your role will involve developing a high-performing team culture that prioritises both client satisfaction and employee wellbeing. You will also be responsible for:

  • Driving performance against targets, KPIs, SLAs and SOPs to deliver operational excellence and financial performance for clients
  • Developing a high performing team culture with low attrition, high engagement and a deep understanding of delivering a great customer journey
  • Managing capacity, recruitment and throughput of work for profit
  • Undertaking strategic project work that drives operational excellence, process improvement and compliance
  • Prioritising the physical and mental wellbeing of the team members and conducting monthly 121’s, quarterly reviews, annual appraisals

What You Bring:

Ideally, you will have a background in law firms or insurers which has equipped you with the necessary understanding of legal language and processes.

  • Proven track record of managing or supervising a team is preferred but not essential
  • Technically able across a sufficiently wide area to demonstrate an ability to work without significant supervision
  • Ability to conduct regular performance reviews
  • Ability to set objectives and ensure team responsibility
