Head of Legal (10+ years PQE) Birmingham A rare opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and forward-thinking Head of Legal to join a thriving organisation that offers solutions within the health care industry. The Head of Legal will be responsible for day-to-day operational, strategic and tactical leadership of the legal department. About the role

As an integral part of the organisation, the successful Head of Legal will have the opportunity to lead the legal department and support all areas of the business.

Some of the main responsibilities will consist of:

• Managing and supporting the legal team with workload and output in accordance with SLAs
• Providing commercially focused and practical legal guidance on compliance with various laws and regulations including, but not limited to, public procurement legislation, data protection legislation, the Bribery Act and FCPA and the Competition Act
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of customer and supplier agreements and templates including service, goods, consultancy and IT
• Coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure ensuring legal compliance
• Providing strategic and commercial legal advice to the business
• Managing a team and having an overview of areas of competence, responsibility and career development plans for the legal team.

About you

The ideal candidate will be a U.K qualified Solicitor or Barrister with minimum of 10 years PQE gained In House or with a reputable practice.

You will also have:

• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, both from a direct line-management perspective and an internal and external stakeholder management perspective
• Strong management experience
• Strong organisation skills
• Public procurement experience
