Public Law Solicitor

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Public Law Advisory Associate to join a UK-Top 100 commercial law firm based in Birmingham.

It presents an excellent opportunity for a qualified lawyer to be at the forefront of NHS public law, advising on commissioning responsibilities, powers, duties and governance.

About the role

This role will give the successful applicant the opportunity to:

• Advise on a range of topics including responsible commissioner issues, S117 aftercare, NHS Continuing Healthcare and Personal Health Budgets

• Get the chance to work and learn alongside experienced lawyers, whilst supervising more junior members of the team where appropriate

• 　Have direct access to clients and work on complex advisory work.

About you

The ideal candidate will be a U.K qualified lawyer with a minimum five years post qualification experience. You will also have:

• Experience working with either in-house, health or local authority clients (beneficial, but not essential)

• A passion for business development with the ability to retain existing clients and attract new business

You will have a good eye for detail, be able to prioritise and manage a caseload, have excellent communication skills and have a commercial, client-focused approach.
