A rare commercial litigation role has arisen with a reputable firm based in Birmingham city centre. You will have the opportunity to work with local and national clients.
About the role
This busy Litigation team work with public and private sector bodies on complex disputes, often involving multiple parties. The Litigation team provide a wide range of advice on general business disputes, alternative dispute resolution, complex fraud disputes, debt recovery, insurance policy coverage, professional negligence claims and property damage.
In particular, this presents an exciting opportunity to work alongside experts in this field with Partners being highly commended in the Legal 500.
Daily tasks of the Commercial Litigation Solicitor will include handling settlement negotiations, dealing with disclosure, researching intricate points of law and assisting with business development initiatives.
About the person
The Commercial Litigation Solicitor will be a UK qualified solicitor with at least 1 years’ PQE* gained in Commercial Litigation in a reputable national or international law firm.
*Applications from NQ's with at least 6 months' litigation experience will also be considered.
In addition, the Commercial Litigation Solicitor must be a competent advocate and be able to present orally and conduct negotiations when required.
Alongside an exceptional academic record, key skills that the Commercial Litigation Solicitor must possess include a keen attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, a thirst for knowledge, client focus and the ability to identify and develop appropriate networking opportunities.
