We have recently been instructed by our client, a leading national law firm, in relation to an opportunity for a 3 year PQE+ Commercial Litigation Associate/Senior Associate to join their established Litigation team based in Birmingham. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Litigation Associate/Senior Associate who is seeking a role that can offer them varied and challenging work or a Solicitor who is looking for a step up.
About the role
This busy Litigation team work with public and private sector bodies on complex disputes, often involving multiple parties. The Litigation team provide a wide range of advice on general business disputes (including international disputes), alternative dispute resolution, civil fraud actions and advice on Directors’ duties.
In particular, this presents an exciting opportunity to work alongside experts in this field with Partners being highly commended in the Legal 500.
Daily tasks of the Commercial Litigation Associate/Senior Associate will include handling settlement negotiations, dealing with disclosure, researching intricate points of law and assisting with business development initiatives.
About the person
The successful Commercial Litigation Associate/Senior Associate will be a UK qualified solicitor with at least 3 years’ experience gained in a Commercial Litigation at a comparable firm. Candidates with more experience will also be considered. In addition, the Commercial Litigation Solicitor must be a competent advocator able to present orally and conduct negotiations when required.
Alongside an exceptional academic record, key skills that the Commercial Litigation Associate/Senior Associate must possess include a keen attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, a thirst for knowledge, client focus and the ability to identify and develop appropriate networking opportunities.
