A specialist, award-winning IP team is looking to build upon and strengthen their dedicated trade mark and design practice, with the recruitment of a Paralegal on a part time basis.
Based in Leeds, the successful candidate would be working alongside experienced solicitors and trade mark attorneys. The role would require the candidate to be an integral part of the day-to-day workings of the team and provide much needed support as the team expands. The successful IP Paralegal would work to build relationships with clients, colleagues and overseas agents in order to ensure the smooth running of the trade mark and designs practice.
The Paralegal role responsibilities involve creating, updating and monitoring the records in the firm’s specialist database, gathering information to generate weekly reports and allocating tasks to other team members. You would also be required to keep everyone on top of their deadlines and deal with incoming notifications; this would require the candidate to liaise with trade mark and design registries, and with foreign agents, to progress client instructions.
This Leeds-based position is for an applicant with an understanding of the importance of accurate data entry and the ability to handle deadline driven work. Naturally, an organised, efficient and self-motivated individual would be the ideal candidate. Whilst previous legal or IP experience is not essential, any previous practical experience in this field will give your application a distinct advantage and a strong academic record is required if do not have IP experience.
The successful Paralegal will profit from not only a competitive salary and flexible benefits package, but also the opportunity to increase their depth of responsibilities in the hope of undertaking formal qualifications to advance in this field.
