About the Funds IMA lawyer role: This is a great opportunity for a junior lawyer to join a highly respected asset manager in London. Your role will include negotiating and drafting IMAs nationally and internationally and working on a variety of fund documentation. You will also be given the opportunity to expand your experience into brokerage, custody, derivative and ISDA work.
- Advising and negotiating IMAs for institutional investors;
- Reviewing, negotiating and advising on distribution agreements and other legal agreements such as broker terms, custody agreements, prime brokerage and stock lending;
- You will be responsible for advising on IMAs domestically and also internationally;
- Working with the wider business in relation to fund matters when necessary.
Your key skills:
You will have experience with IMAs, fund documentation and agreements in relation to asset management. The role would be most suited to a lawyer with approximately 2 years PQE but a different level of experience will be considered. Experience with ISDAs, derivatives and prime brokerage would be an advantage. You should be prepared to take on a broad role and develop new skills with the potential to move into other areas of the business.
