Real Estate Lawyer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Real Estate Lawyer to join a rapidly expanding Future Energy Real Estate practice in Scotland. This role offers the chance to provide comprehensive real estate advice related to clean energy development, covering all aspects of this innovative and forward-thinking sector. The position is initially for a 3-6 month contract.

What you'll do:

As a Real Estate Lawyer in our Future Energy team, your day-to-day responsibilities will involve dealing with drafting option agreements and leases on a wide range of clean energy projects. You will undertake due diligence on these projects, prepare title reports and Certificates of Title, and act in relation to the financing of clean energy projects. Your role will also involve working closely with individuals in our corporate, banking, construction, planning and regulatory disciplines.

• Drafting option agreements and leases for a wide range of clean energy projects
• Undertaking due diligence on these projects including review of title, enquiries, and searches
• Preparation of title reports and Certificates of Title
• Drafting and revising option agreements and associated leases for renewable energy projects
• Acting in relation to the financing of clean energy projects and large-scale acquisitions/disposals
• Maintaining and improving relations with existing clients

What you bring:

As a Real Estate Lawyer joining our team, you bring valuable experience as a qualified solicitor with an interest in future energy matters. Your excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills will be key to your success in this role. You are self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines effectively. Your commercial awareness coupled with your enthusiasm for business development will be highly valued. An understanding of your client’s business needs is essential.

• Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) circa 1-3PQE
• Experience as a Real Estate lawyer with interest in future energy matters
• Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills
• Self-motivated with ability to manage workloads and deadlines
• Commercially aware with enthusiasm for business development
• Understanding of client’s business needs
