My client is a British multinational law firm, headquartered in London, England. It is a member of the "Magic Circle" of elite London-headquartered law firms and currently employs over 3100 lawyers across 31 offices in 21 countries.
About the role:
You will join a team of three other BD & Marketing Managers and two Advisors in the London Mainstream Corporate (MSC) practice. This role will be responsible for supporting the partners in group 120 as well as the global infrastructure and Telecoms, Media and Business Services (TMBS) sectors.
This role will lead the day-to-day work of the practice and sector groups, which includes pitching, events, practice marketing (CVs, credential requests, training, group updates) and will involve the daily line management of one advisor.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Work closely with the Group Leader for 120 to execute the MSC business and client plan(s).
Originate, plan, and facilitate execution of practice-specific BD initiatives relating to client targeting, product promotion, profile raising, new business development.
Responsibility for driving forward the Client Feedback Programme across MSC.
Be the lead point of contact for partners for all pitch requests. Responsible for high-quality first drafts and project management of the process in its entirety.
Manage end-to-end directory, league table and awards submissions process for the group to key publications and the media.
Responsibility for profile raising and implementation of relevant communications and campaigns to raise the understanding of the practice and our brand with key clients.
Proactively support BD activities of associates across the group.
Work collaboratively to increase collaboration globally across the corporate division.
Infrastructure and TMBS sector responsibility.
Key point of contact globally for sector and client related enquiries.
Attendance and participation in regular global sector team meetings.
Pro-active business development and marketing activity aligned to sector/client plan objectives, identifying opportunities, driving effective cross-selling, new business introductions, exploring potential new work streams and protecting existing relationships.
Support mrps by playing the lead Client Relationship Management role with a number of prioritised clients within the sectors, including the delivery of regular client reporting. For other prioritised sector clients play an oversight role supporting mrps and marketing colleagues as required.
Responsible for implementing the Client Insights Programme across priority clients.
Responsible for communicating specific trends and relevant hot topics.
Maintaining asset trackers and deal pipelines.
Management of sector credentials and pitch content, web pages, sector brochures and other collateral.
Proactively look for profile raising opportunities for example: conference speaking slots and sponsorships; thought leadership reports, client roundtable discussions and seminars; PR opportunities; memberships of trade bodies.
Ideally you will have/be:
Previous BD & marketing experience at a similar level.
Experience in pitching and creating client documents to tight deadlines with high attention to detail.
Experience in CRM for key clients.
Understanding of a partnership environment.
Team player with understanding of high performing professional services environment.
