Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required: * 2-4 years PQE, listed company secretarial experience (essential) * Considerable technical knowledge and experience of working in a similar role for an international listed or a FTSE 250 company (essential) * Experience of international subsidiary governance (essential) * A flexible and capable individual with strong written and organisational skills is needed for this broad and interesting role; must be able to work under pressure and to adapt well to change in a fast-moving environment (essential) * Ability to demonstrate high standards of operational excellence and a willingness to operate at the forefront of best practice with a focus on continuous improvement at all times (essential) * Ability to work at the highest level within the organisation and have strong standing and high professional standards (essential) * Excellent written and verbal communicator with ability to deliver complex messages in a simple and creative way; attention to detail is essential * Ability to work proactively using own initiative. Equally, be a great team player to work cross-functionally and as part of a wider Advisory & Compliance department (essential) * Excellent interpersonal and proven stakeholder management expertise (essential) * Experience of managing projects with ability to think broadly on a range of issues and apply sound judgement in problem solving; analysing and using data (preferred) * Good knowledge / experience with Share Schemes (desirable) * Good IT skills (MS Word and MS Excel essential, MS PowerPoint, MS Sharepoint) and experience of ICSA Blueprint Oneworld (essential) * Experience of using / implementation of electronic board portals (desirable).
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Deputy Company Secretary, the Assistant Company Secretary will proactively support the delivery of a professional, best in class and efficient service for the Britvic Group and will take the lead in associated matters.
You will support the development and delivery of the corporate governance framework to ensure understanding across our growing global business through the provision of advice and training. You will work with key stakeholders to identify and deliver corporate governance priorities to ensure the business' interests are protected and maintained. You will use your planning and communication skills to ensure corporate governance standards are imparted, acknowledged and embedded across the business.
